Welcome to Write the Opportunity

Hello job seekers, potential employers and those new to the job market! My name is Grace Watson, a job seeker and a graduate with limited job experience who is trying to convince potential clients and employers to grant me a job opportunity.

After graduating with honors from Concord University, it has been challenging to find employment. Despite doing everything the "correct" way, I have to failed to land a job. Networking, learning new skills such as freelancing and copywriting through the experts via manuals, YouTube videos, and consequently blogposts and social media to expand my reach, I have decided that after one too many rejections, I am going to create my own opportunity.

Self-employment has been on the rise in light of the pandemic and what many experts called, "The Great Resignation" where many have quit unfulfilling jobs to pursue other avenues of life and work.

So, Write the Opportunity was born. With tired eyes, I have made the depressive road of potholes filled with rejection work for me. With this blog, I hope to hone my skills and hopefully hone in on a fulfilling job in Journalism. It will consist of published works to showcase my journalistic expertise and poetry to enhance my creative writing skills, all in one place.

I welcome you on this journey with me and I hope you don't may the unpaved roads of my job search. You may even find that you enjoy the ride.
